3 times my wife was prescribed medication for her ears she was allergic too. They told us she had 80% hearing loss and needed a hearing aid. Turns out went to ent specialists in Cleveland...Hearing aid was pointless and had no effect, her hearing loss was actually 20%. Very nice people, very poor practice
My experience with this doctor wasn't all that great. I know no doctor Is perfect but I've been to better doctors who actually seem to care about their patients. I went to the ent at this location because a family member said he was great, so of course I wanted the best and went. I had a feeling of something all of a sudden stuck in my throat, it was tight when I swallowed also. When I saw Dr. Wartmann he put a scope up my nose and in my esophagus, he said nothing is in your throat, your esophagus is inflamed due to acid reflux. He put me on a medicine for it the feeling in my throat went away for a couple of weeks and came back. He found a cyst in my nasal cavity. He wanted to do a biopsy and I was scared to be put asleep and have a breathing tube in while he did the biopsy.. I cancelled it but when I was ready to do it, I called back and asked if I can set it up. The nurse told me I've been transferred to Cleveland for a second opinion since I refused the biopsy. I told her I just didn't want it done at that time, I don't understand why I can't just have it done now? She said by law the doctor transfered you to someone else because your issue isn't resolved. I said yes but he could do the biopsy I didn't understand. Basically he didn't want me as a patient because I was scared. He didn't give me clarification or reassure everything would be okay. The nurse was rude to me because I didn't get why he couldn't schedule a biopsy. Now I have to go out of my way when I could of just got it done closer to where I live but the office didn't want me there. Another encounter I had was when my 5month old daughter at the time had a hoarse voice and her pediatrician recommended we see an ent . since I saw a doctor that I thought would be very caring and helpful at the time I thought id have her see him too.. We got there and he was nice to her and stuff but he looked at the tip of her nose with a light and said she looks good. He said we probably don't need to do a scope. We left there and went to Akron children's, the ent there said she had a start of nodules on her vocal cords due to acid reflux. I was upset because wartmann could of just done the scope and told us what was going on with her. I'm just very disappointed in this facility...
My kids love seeing Dr. Kevin Mathur. He's great at answering our questions and keeping us informed. My daughter's ears have been a challenge, and he's been on top of it every step of the way.
They have been able to find the problem, when our family could not. Highly recommend them to everyone.
The receptionist was very rude. Not a very speedy place. They take their time and worry about there own schedule. Not a happy customer.
